An exciting year for 2011-2012 has been planned.  All meetings are at First United Methodist Church, 1033 6th Avenue, New Brighton, PA unless otherwise specified.

Thursday, December 1, 2011 - 7:00 P.M.:  Music of the Season,  AAUW Singers, Susan Brandt, Director

  

Again you are to bring a gift donation that will be split between The Women's Center and Surprises for Shut-Ins.  Please do not wrap your donations.       Suggested Items include:  assorted nail polish; alarm clocks/small radios; large tote/overnight bags; puzzle books; flashlights with batteries, curling irons/blow dryers;  slipper (assorted sizes); bath robes (assorted sizes), bath and body gift sets; one size fits all night shirts; sweatshirts (assorted sizes); manicure sets; large bottle shampoo/body wash

 

We do not meet in January!  Stay warm.

ANTIQUES GROUP

2011 SCHEDULE

 

 In January 2011, the AAUW Antiques Interest Group marked 20 years strong.  The January 1991 Newsletter stated, "The Antiques Group was reactivated at a meeting in the home of Roberta McFarland, the Interest Group Coordinator.  A January meeting at the home of Gladys Justis to share our linens and laces from years gone by was planned." 

 

The group, which usually meets at 7:30 pm on the second Monday of the month, will be on sabbatical in December, January, and February and on vacation in June July, and August. 

 

Anyone interested in joining the group or attending a particular meeting should contact Norma Kehr  724-774-3844 or nbkehr@comcast.net.  To quote the 1991 Newsletter, "Come join - this is a fun experience."

GARDEN GROUP:  Has been meeting since the early nineties and currently has 19 members.
